History of the Faculty of Agriculture

The Faculty of Agriculture within PGRI Yogyakarta University has existed since the days of IKIP PGRI Yogyakarta and was inaugurated as PGRI Yogyakarta University on June 25, 1997, as stated in the Decree document on the Establishment of Faculties and Study Programs. One of the Study Programs in the Faculty of Agriculture is the Agrotechnology Study Program, which is regulated based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 180/Dikti/Kep/1997 dated June 25, 1997.

In 2012, the Agrotechnology Study Program extended its implementation permit through Decree Number: 10932/D/T/K-V/2012. The Agrotechnology Study Program has applied for accreditation twice, and finally received an accreditation rating of B based on the decision of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) Number: 2483/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VIII/2017 dated August 1, 2017.

This accreditation shows the quality of education that is recognized nationally. Currently, the Faculty of Agriculture has 2 Study Programs, namely the Agrotechnology Study Program and the Agricultural Product Technology Study Program which officially obtained a license in 2019 with Ristekdikti Decree Number 454 / KPT / I / 2019 held at the LLDIKTI Region V Yogyakarta office and signed by the UPY Rector.
